Fortune Catch is simple - drop coins, gold bars, gems and treasure on top of the platform held up by rope. Each item is worth a multiplier value. The more items you catch on the platform, the bigger your cash out. But, if the platform breaks when you drop an item, you lose all your winnings. Here’s the steps to play Fortune Catch from SmartSoft.

Step 1: Set your bet value

Bets in Fortune Catch range from $0.10 up to a massive $1,000. Use the “+” and “-” buttons to increase and decrease your bet size.

Step 2: Choose an item to drop

This is where the suspense begins. There are eight items to choose from, each with a different multiplier value. The table below explains each item and its multiplier.

As soon as you select an item from the menu grid, the item will drop down onto the platform and a bet is deducted for the round. From here, one of two events will happen.

• The platform stays suspended - Congratulations, the platform didn't break and you have unlocked a win multiplier equal to the value of the item dropped.
• The platform breaks - You’ve lost the round and your bet is forfeited. You can try again with a new bet.

Step 3: Cash out or keep stacking

You now have an important decision to make. Either you cash out and collect your winnings, or you drop another item to try unlock a larger win multiplier. You have the option to select any of the eight items to drop again.

As you continue to successfully drop more and more items onto the platform, the total win multiplier will increase by the total collective value of all items on the platform. For example, if you drop two Gem Piles and a Gold Bar, the total win will be 2× Gem Pile (×200) + ×1 Gold Bar (×1) for a total of ×201 your bet. If you dropped a Treasure Chest (×1,000) on top of this and won, you would now have a cash out value of ×1,201.

If at any point during any round the platform breaks under the weight of the items and collapses, your winnings for the round are lost.

The round is considered a win if you successfully cash out any value, or you manage to unlock the max win value of ×1,000,000 by dropping enough items.

The default theoretical Return to Player (RTP) is 97.0% and the maximum multiplier is ×1,000,000.

Well, it’s mixed opinions on this end from Fortune Catch… There are things we like and there are some potential blockers that might deter players. We can start with the good!

The game design, concept, art and atmosphere are all very cool. The stacking mechanic is new for us and definitely a highlight in concept. It's an interesting blend of Limbo games and burst style road crossing games. Imagine the road crossing game but you can choose to try to step directly to lane number 10 or 15. The animations are great, especially the way the items actually build up in front of you on the platform. Stacking coins, gems and gold bars on top of one another looks as satisfying as it is to cash them out. 

However, one thing that makes us wonder how much people will stick around is the severe intense volatility combined with the lack of auto play, auto cash out or turbo mode. This game requires step by step progression, and more often than not even the ×5 gold bar pile item would dead spin us 10 - 15 rounds consecutively.

Now considering the max win multiplier is ×1,000,000, and the largest value item is a treasure chest at ×1,000, you would need to manually drop a thousand treasure chests consecutively to win. Honestly, with the game speed and manual tapping requirement, I find it incredibly hard to believe anyone is going to bother trying for it.
