The aim of Chicken Pirate Route is to leap across boats floating on the ocean, with each successful boat you land on increasing your total win multiplier. You can cash out at any stage, resetting the round and instantly awarding your win. Or, you can risk more leaps to try and achieve a higher win multiplier and eventually reach Golden Island where the max win is claimed. But, land in the ocean and the round is lost. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Set your bet amount

Manually type in your bet amount anywhere from $0.10 to $100, or use the “+” and “-” buttons to incrementally change your bet amount.

Step 2: Choose your difficulty mode

The game comes with 3 difficulty modes to choose from. Once you start playing one, you must finish the round before changing to another difficulty. Difficulty represents “volatility”, and will not only dramatically change the probability of successful leaps to boats, but also noticeably change the win amount unlocked when your leap is a win.

• Easy Mode - Max Win 24x your bet
• Medium Mode - Max Win 2,500x your bet
• Hard Mode - Max Win 72,000x your bet

Decide if you want a more reliable and steady chance of winning with a smaller progressive win multiplier, or a tougher more brutal experience with a lot more losses that pays off with very noticeably larger progressive win amounts.

Step 3: Press Start to begin the game

When you press start, the dice icon at the bottom right of the screen will roll and reveal a face up number between 1 and 6. The revealed number is how many boats the chicken character will leap across to. For e.g, if you roll a 4, the chicken character will leap to position number 4 in the row of boats.

If there is a boat to land on, you unlock the win multiplier indicated on the boat. If you’re unlucky and there is no boat where you leap to, you lose the round immediately and go back to the beginning.

When you make a winning leap, you have 2 options:

• Cash out - Take your total win amount so far and reset the game to the beginning. Winnings are immediately credited to your balance.
• Risk another dice roll - Roll the dice again to attempt to land on a further boat, increasing your unlocked win amount and get closer to the Golden Island.

The game continues in this pattern until you either cash out, land in the ocean (lose) or reach Golden Island.

If you reach the Golden Island, the max win for the difficulty you have chosen is immediately credited to your balance and the game resets back to the beginning again.

This might be one of the most unique and special chicken crossing style games we’ve seen, and my gosh, are we glad to see some innovation in the mechanics and chicken game format.

By adding the dice roll to the game, the outcome is not only less predictable, but also we have variable increase in the win unlock progression. Typically we progress through the steps 1 by 1, knowing exactly how many “bets” or “risks” it might take us to reach our target. But in this case, we could roll a 6 straight away and win, fast forwarding the win progression massively. This is very, very interesting!

We had some success in reaching Golden Island on Easy mode a few times while testing, but weren’t lucky enough to see the max win on either Medium or Hard. To be fair though, the jump from a 24x max win on easy to 2,500x on medium is pretty serious business.

We highly recommend checking this out, and anticipate there will be a response from the competitor developers with their own unique spins on the chicken cross game to compete with this innovation. Nice job Turbo Games.
