Star Guardians by Evoplay combines third-person shooter gameplay with slot mechanics. Each spin advances the action — your character moves through the environment, fires at Tritons, and the outcome of each spin determines your win. You control the hero manually, which means you can move them forwards and backwards and left and right on screen. The Bonus Game triggers at random on any spin and is where the game's highest payouts are found.

Step 1: Choose Your Character

Select one of three characters before you start. Each has a unique weapon loadout, special abilities, and a different booster effect that activates during certain rounds. You can switch characters at any point during play, even mid-session, without disrupting the game.

Step 2: Place Your Bet

Set your stake using the bet controls. The minimum bet is $0.10 and the maximum is $100 per spin.

Step 3: Play the Main Game

Each spin plays out as a live action sequence in the third-person environment. Tritons appear and your character engages them. The result of each spin is RNG-determined — your manual movement and aiming interact with the environment, but the underlying outcome follows the game's standard slot mechanics. The chest appears randomly in the room. Only one chest of any type can appear in a room during any spin. There are two types of chests: a chest with a lock, and a chest without a lock. The chest with a lock is guaranteed to contain regular or rare loot or an amplifier. It opens with a key, which the player can find in a chest without a lock during any spin. A chest without a lock can contain cheap loot, regular loot, a key, or an amplifier. A player can only have one key in total.

The payout for the loot is equal to the coefficient received from the chest, multiplied by the bet.

The Bonus Game

The Bonus Game is a random event that can be activated during any spin in the main game. During the Bonus Game, the player - together with your allies - will have to repel three waves of opponents. You will need to collect ammunition for the cannon in order to fight the Queen of the Swarm in the process.

Using the cannon, your mission will be to deflect the waves of enemies in a special turret, which is also equipped with machine guns. The opponents are Larvas, which are not found in the main game, and they can drop both ammunition and money. Before the battle with the Queen, you have to clear three waves of opponents. The First wave consists of 10 opponents, the Second wave consists of 20, and the Third wave consists of 30! When the third wave is over, the Queen of the Swarm enters the field!

To fight the Queen the player will need to use a cannon for the final battle - where all the ammunition collected in the previous three waves will come in particularly handy!
