How To Play Limbo
Limbo is a game of prediction, where you pick a target multiplier and bet on the result reaching it. Each round the multiplier counts up from ×1.00 and stops at a random result anywhere up to ×10,000. The higher your target, the bigger the payout. Read our step-by-step player guide below.
Step 1: Choose your bet value
Choose a bet value anywhere from $0.10 to $100. Use the − and + buttons to adjust your bet, halve or double it with ½ and 2x, type an amount directly, or pick one from the list.
Step 2: Set your Multiplier Target
Type a Multiplier Target anywhere from ×1.01 to ×10,000. If you'd rather think in odds, type the Win Chance you want instead. The two are linked, so changing one updates the other, and you always know exactly what a win pays before you commit. Typing a win chance sets the highest target with at least that chance.
Step 3: Press Play
Pressing Play locks in your bet and the multiplier counts up from ×1.00 until it stops at the result. It turns green as it passes your target.
- Win: The result is equal to or above your target. You win your bet multiplied by your target, rounded down to the cent.
- Lose: The result stops below your target and you lose your bet.
A win always pays your target, not the result. Landing far above your target doesn't pay any extra.
Example: A $2.00 bet on a ×2.00 target has a 49% win chance. A result of ×3.47 wins $4.00.
Limbo RTP and Win
The Return to Player (RTP) is 98.00% at every target, and the maximum win is ×10,000 your bet.
Your win chance is always 98% divided by your target. A ×2.00 target has a 49% chance, ×10.00 has a 9.8% chance and ×100 has a 0.98% chance. Results are rounded down to two decimal places and wins are rounded down to the cent. Results run from ×1.00 to ×10,000.00, and a result of ×1.00 shows in red because no target can win on it.
To achieve the max win of ×10,000, set your target to ×10,000, which has a 0.0098% win chance. The largest possible win is $1,000,000.00 from a $100.00 bet on a ×10,000 target.
Game Features
Below are the key features of Limbo
- Multiplier Target or Win Chance: Set your target as a multiplier or as a win chance, whichever is easier for you. A low target gives frequent small wins, while a high target gives rare but much larger wins. The volatility of the game is completely in your hands.
- Auto Play: Choose how many rounds to play, from 5 to 1,000 or infinite, and pick a game speed. Slow plays at normal speed, Medium counts up 1.5x faster with half the pause between rounds, and Fast shows each result instantly with half Medium's pause. Press Stop Auto at any time. Auto play also stops if your balance is lower than your bet.
- Provably Fair results: The Provably Fair settings show the seeds every result is made from, so you can check that no result was changed after you placed your bet.
- Round History: View your last 50 rounds. Select the details icon, or any recent result shown above the multiplier, to see a round in full.
- Disable Animations: Turn off animations to see results instantly for faster play.
- Space To Bet: Press the Space bar to play a round without needing to click Play.
Mobile Compatibility
Limbo is mobile friendly and requires no download on your mobile device, loading directly in most modern browsers. On desktop, turn on Space To Bet to play rounds straight from your keyboard.
Our Verdict
Limbo is about as simple as a casino game gets: one target, one result and an instant outcome. The minimal theme keeps the focus on the multiplier as it counts up, and watching it turn green as it passes your target gives every round a quick moment of suspense.
The standout is how straightforward the maths is. The RTP is a flat 98.00% at every target and your win chance is always 98% divided by your target, so there's no penalty for playing it safe or for chasing a big multiplier. Being able to type either a target or a win chance makes it easy to play exactly the odds you want.
The volatility is completely in your hands. A ×1.01 target wins around 97% of the time, while a ×10,000 target hits less than once in every 10,000 rounds but pays up to $1,000,000 on a $100 bet. That range makes Limbo just as suited to steady, low-risk sessions as it is to chasing one huge win.
Auto Play is flexible, with up to 1,000 rounds or infinite play at three different speeds. There are no profit or loss limits to stop auto play automatically, so keep an eye on your balance during longer sessions.
