The aim of Mines is to reveal hidden diamond gems underneath a grid of tiles. Finding gems increases your win total, which you can cash out at any time. Finding a bomb however will lose the round, forfeiting your bet along with any winnings you haven't cashed out.. Here's how it works:
Step 1: Set your bet value
Configure your bet value anywhere from $1.0 to $200. Bet values can be increased or decreased by using the “+” and “-” buttons or by typing in your exact bet value into the input field.
Step 2: Configure your grid size
The grid of tiles comes in 3 different configurations for you to play:
- 3 x 3 grid pattern
- 5 x 5 grid pattern
- 7 x 7 grid pattern
The size of the grid determines the total number of hidden bombs you can program, increasing or decreasing the probability of progressive wins.
Step 3: Set the number of hidden bombs
Each grid size has a different number of bombs you can hide behind the tiles. The total number of bombs is always the total grid size minus 1, and the minimum is always 1.
For e.g, a 5 x 5 grid can have a maximum of 24 bombs hidden and 1 gem, or 1 bombs hidden and 24 gems.
Step 4: Press bet and start revealing tiles
Once your grid size and number of bombs is confirmed, press bet to commit your wager. You can now start clicking on any of the tiles to reveal what's behind.
If you manage to reveal a diamond gem, you unlock the win multiplier for finding 1 gem. At this stage, you can cash out your win and start a new game with a new bet, or you can risk picking another tile and revealing the hidden symbol beneath,
If at any stage you reveal a bomb, the round is lost and you forfeit your bet, starting a fresh new round.
