The difficulty system creates wildly different experiences - from Easy mode's steady climb to 100x, to Hard mode's astronomical 13.7-million-x jackpot that requires 15 consecutive goals without a single save. Here's how it works:

Step 1: Choose Your Difficulty

Select your volatility level, which determines both your success probability and maximum win potential:

Easy:

• Highest goal success rate
• Lower multiplier progression
• Win multipliers: 1.3x to 100.6x over 15 successful goals
• Maximum win: 100x

Medium:

• Balanced success rate
• Moderate multiplier progression
• Win multipliers: 1.8x to 11.9x over 15 successful goals
• Maximum win: 11.9x

Hard:

• Lowest goal success rate
• Extreme multiplier progression
• Win multipliers: 2.8x to 13,774,950x over 15 successful goals

Step 2: Set Your Bet Amount

Choose your bet value per kick. This bet only applies when starting from the 0x position.

Step 3: Take Your First Kick

Place your bet and the player takes a shot at goal. One of two outcomes occurs:

Goal scored:

• The ball goes past the goalkeeper
• You achieve the first progressive multiplier
• You advance to the next multiplier tier

Goalkeeper blocks:

• The goalkeeper saves your shot
• LOSS: You lose your bet
• Round ends and you return to 0x

Step 4: Cash Out or Continue

After each successful goal, you face a critical decision:

Cash out:

• Collect your current multiplier applied to your original bet
• Winnings are secured
• Next kick requires a new bet (returns to 0x position)

Continue:

• Take another kick without placing an additional bet
• Attempt to score and advance to the next higher multiplier tier
• Risk: If the goalkeeper blocks, you lose all accumulated progress and the round ends with no payout

Important: Additional kicks are free - you only bet when starting from the 0x position. Once you've scored your first goal and are climbing the multiplier ladder, subsequent kicks don't cost anything until you cash out or lose.

Step 5: Progress Through the Multiplier Ladder

Each successful goal moves you one tier higher on the 15-step multiplier progression:

Penalty Unlimited is actually a lot of fun considering how simple the gameplay is. We played on Hard difficulty and tried a few different strategies to see if we could run the balance up. We managed to be quite successful when aiming for 2x consecutive goals then cashing out, rinse and repeat. The character changes from easy to hard is a lot of fun as well and it looks great on both desktop and mobile!
