Players first choose how many fireballs they want to have randomly hidden for each set of stairs they climb. The more fireballs, the more difficult as it's more likely the gamepad character will get burnt.
Once the number of fireballs is determined, players can set the value of their bet and begin to play. There are several positions in which the player can climb up to the next level. Players on desktop will click the actual position to climb up it, however on mobile they will move a slider at the bottom of the page to move the character sideways.
If the player is successful, the gamepad character will climb to the next level without being burnt by fire. They may then either cash out or continue climbing up. If the player gets burnt, the round ends with any winnings being removed.
Players achieve the maximum win for each difficulty by reaching the top of the tower. If they do so, the round immediately ends with the winnings being added to the players balance.
The default theoretical Return to Player (RTP) is 97% and the maximum multiplier is 717x.

Fury Stairs is actually a lot of fun, especially playing with friends! We found ourselves trying various strategies to get one up on the game and had some pretty good runs when testing. The controls are intuitive and easy to use, plus the little character and animations add some much welcomed retro charm. Maybe it would have been nice to make a more difficult version with a higher max win potential to really test the hardcore players, but this doesn't deter us from playing. Test out the demo game for yourself at the top of this review page!
