Players first choose their bet value, ranging anywhere from $0.10 to $100. After the bet value is confirmed, the game's difficulty can be set.
There are 5 difficulties, each with a different game page configuration. The difficulty represents the game’s volatility so the more difficult the game page, the larger the progressive multiplier reward for each level you pass.
Once the difficulty is confirmed, players can place a bet and select one of the blocks in the first row. If the block is not radioactive, the hamster will dig through and your multiplier will be added to your bet. Players can then choose to either cash out or risk digging through another block. If the block is radioactive, the round will immediately end with any winnings being taken.
The default theoretical Return to Player (RTP) is 95% and the maximum multiplier is 3,840x.

If you’ve played tower style games before, you'll be familiar with Hamsta. The main difference is that in this case you are digging down, rather than trying to climb up. It's a quirky little game and offers up some nice difficulty level options. We had fun trying to get to the bottom of the more difficult levels which was quite a challenge even on hard and extreme! We did find the animations and graphics a bit clunky on the desktop version however. Some of the transitions were a bit awkward and could probably be cleaned up a bit.
