Golden Clover by Onlyplay - Mines Game Review

Golden Clover from Onlyplay is possibly one of the most simple and basic mine games to be developed. It plays on a 3x3 grid, and always has 4 clovers and 5 mines hidden every round. Uncover all 4 clovers to max win but avoid the mines as they end the round!

How Does It Play?
Simply place your bet amount (between $1 and $50) and begin to pick your tiles. If you reveal a clover, your bet is multiplied and you can either cash out or select another tile. Should you reveal all 4 clovers, you win the maximum single round win of 118x your bet. If you reveal a bomb, the round will finish and your winnings are lost.
RTP and Max Win
The default theoretical Return to Player (RTP) is 93.65% and the maximum multiplier is 118x.
Game Features
There are honestly no features to consider in this game. It's incredibly bare bones, simple and straightforward.
Mobile Friendly
Golden Clover is a mobile friendly game, optimised for both iOS and Android devices.
Our Verdict
Golden Clover is so simple it almost seems like a half baked project. The lack of functionality and features is odd, and the max win is only 118x. Perhaps this appeals to some players, we’re not really sure. It's equally as strange considering Onlyplay released Lucky Clover late 2019 which is exactly the same game, but at least included a jackpot feature. Why they would remove the jackpot and release this game is unknown to us. Try it, maybe it's your new favourite!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Minesweeper games?

Minesweeper casino games, often called Mines games, are grid-based gambling games inspired by the classic Minesweeper computer game. Players uncover tiles on a grid to reveal gems or multipliers while avoiding hidden mines, which end the round if triggered. These games blend luck and strategy for a thrilling experience.

How do Mines games work?

In Mines games, players select a bet amount and the number of mines (typically 1-24) on a grid, usually 5x5. They reveal tiles one by one, uncovering gems to increase a multiplier or hitting a mine to lose the bet. Players can cash out at any time to secure winnings, with more mines increasing risk and potential rewards.

Are Mines games fair?

Yes, reputable Mines games use provably fair technology, employing random number generators (RNGs) certified for fairness. Players can verify outcomes via cryptographic hashes, ensuring transparency. Always choose licensed casinos to guarantee fair gameplay.

What is the best strategy for playing Mines?

Effective strategies include starting with fewer mines for lower risk and practicing in demo mode. Set a budget, use small bets initially, and cash out after a few safe tiles to secure winnings. Experiment with custom strategies, but remember outcomes are random, so no strategy guarantees success.

Which online casinos offer the best Minesweeper games?

Check out our partnered online casinos for a safe and reputable place to play the most popular mines casino games. They offer welcome bonuses for new players, offering a boosted bankroll to get you started on their casino.

Can I play Mines for free?

Many online casinos offer demo modes for Minesweeper games, allowing players to try them without risking real money. This is a great way to practice and understand the game mechanics before betting.

What is the RTP of Mines games?

The Return to Player (RTP) for Mines games typically ranges from 95% to 99%, depending on the provider and settings. For example, BGaming’s Minesweeper ranges from 97.88% to 98.4% and Hacksaw’s Mines Dare2Win defaults at 98%. Check specific game details for accurate RTP.

Can I play Mines on mobile?

Yes, Mines games are mobile-friendly, built with HTML5 for seamless play on iOS and Android devices. Casino game studios optimize their games for smartphones and tablets, ensuring smooth gameplay without needing a dedicated app.

What are the most popular Mines games?

Popular titles include Mines by Spribe, Minesweeper by BGaming, and Hacksaw’s Mines Dare2Win. Many game studios that develop instant win games have recreated the Minesweeper game type, and most of them are offering top notch products to stay competitive.

What makes Mines different from slots?

Unlike slots, where players spin reels passively, Mines games require active decision-making, as players choose which tiles to reveal and when to cash out. This interactivity, combined with adjustable risk via mine settings, offers a strategic element absent in traditional slots.
